Bodegas Altanza is located in the heart of the Rioja, the Rioja Alta. Bodegas Altanza is a typical example of a modern winery. Founded in 1998 by 3 friends, winemaker Carlos Ferreiro uses the latest techniques to make truly top wines.
During the tasting we will taste no fewer than 8 wines from Bodegas Altanza, of course with matching snacks. This includes their famous Altanza Battonage, which consistently scores big points in every election. We taste a Sauvignon Blanc, but from 70 year old vines. Round, creamy and complex, not your everyday Sauvignon Blanc. But of course we will mainly drink Tempranillos like the Altanza Club. This pearl was chosen as one of the 7 best Riojas in the world in 2023 by the most famous wine magazine in the world, Decanter. A total of 18,500 wines were tasted and the Altanza Club received 96 points… Need we say more?
