In the area of the Roero in Alba is the Azienda Agricola Pelassa, 12 hectares in size. As long as the Pelassa family lives there, they grow wine on 8 hectares. The contemporary wine company was founded in 1960 by Mario Pelassa. With the help of his wife Maria Teresa Viglione, he has been making wine for about fifty years. Their sons Davide and Daniele have now taken over and modernized the company.
nDavide is responsible for all the work in the vineyards and is therefore mainly involved with nature and tractors. Daniele is the face of Pelassa. Not only because he is responsible for the wine cellar, but also because he enthusiastically gives Pelassa the attention it deserves worldwide. Pelassa’s wines are elegant, fruity and an expression of the terroir.
nIn addition to the well-known Barolo wines, the winery also makes beautiful Roero Arneis, Barbera d’Alba and accessible Piedmontese house wines.
